Idaho Construction and Contracting Company Licenses

Idaho Business Entity Contractor Registration

Agency:Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses - Contractors Board
Insurance Requirements:

A certificate of general liability insurance, including products and completed operations coverage, with a minimum coverage of $300,000. Also, a certificate of workers' compensation insurance for entities with employees.

Before you Apply:
  • A certificate of general liability insurance, including products and completed operations coverage, with a minimum coverage of $300,000.
  • A copy of the Workers Compensation certificate or written explanation of exemption is required
  • Denial, Surrender or Revocation Documentation from another state, if applicable
  • Disclosure Form, if applicable
  • Copy of photo ID, as well as the full name, address, and social security number of each owner is required. Company owners cannot be business entities.
  • The federal EIN must be provided
  • Military members (current and active) and their spouses may receive expedited processing and reduced fees.

Idaho Lead Abatement Company License

Not required



Lead Services Company licensure is not required on the State level in Idaho.

  • Idaho does not have a state-issued lead abatement license; instead, these licenses are administered federally by the EPA.
  • Although there is no license specific to lead abatement contracting in Idaho, contractors may need an Idaho Business Entity Contractor Registration.
