Business Corporations

  • At least one officer or employee of the corporation must hold a valid elevator contractor license issued under this chapter

State Educational Institutions: 

  • At least one officer or employee of the state educational institution must hold a valid elevator contractor license issued under this chapter

Partnerships: 

  • At least one partner or general partner must hold a valid elevator contractor license issued under this chapter

Limited Partnerships: 

  • At least one partner or general partner must hold a valid elevator contractor license issued under this chapter
Insurance Requirements:
  • General Liability Insurance in amounts not less than: 
    • $1,000,000 for injury or death to any number of persons in any one occurrence
    • $500,000 property damage in any one occurrence
    • State Educational Institutions are not required to provide proof of General Liability Insurance
  • Worker's Compensation Insurance as required by state law

Biennially by December 31. For the first license cycle, renewals will be due in the calendar year following initial registration. So if you registered in October 2024, your first renewal will be due on December 31, 2025 and biennially after that.
