Texas Roofing Contractor License

Foreign Qualification is Prerequisite:	No
Insurance Requirements:	Commercial Contractors must have general liability insurance in an amount not less than $500,000 single occurrence or evidence that you can obtain a surety bond Residential Contractors must have general liability insurance in an amount not less than $300,000 single occurrence or evidence that you can obtain a surety bond Worker's Compensation Insurance as required by the State of Texas
Bond Requirements:	$100,000 surety bond can be provided in lieu of general liability insurance
Exam Required?	Yes
Registered Agent (Special Agency) Required?	No
Qualifying Individual Requirements:	Applicant must pass basic business and safety knowledge exam plus the residential and/or commercial roofing exam(s) with a score of 70% or better on each exam These exams must be passed within 1 year of approval date of application will be voided License holder must be a principal in a roofing company domiciled in the State of Texas for at least two years immediately before the date of application
