Ohio Leasing Motor Vehicle Dealer License

Financial Requirements:

A dealer must have a net worth in the sum of $75,000 and this must be verifiable upon request of the Registrar. This must be maintained during the entire period of licensure.

Required Attachments:
  • Certificate of Compliance Form BMV 4347, if applicable
  • Copy of the entities Ohio Secretary of State Filing
  • Copy of fictitious/assumed name registration
  • Photographs of display lot with separation from other businesses and residences, office (inside and out), business sign with registered name and any fictitious/trade names, and a view from across the street
    • This should be sent in JPEG format to dealerphotos@dps.ohio.gov
  • Make sure each applicable individual has their fingerprinting results forwarded to the dealer licensing section

  • Photographs of location (must be mailed or emailing in JPEG format)
