Insurance Requirements:	Liability Insurance is required for the interchangeable dealer plates. Please contact your insurance company for the required minimum amounts. The state does not regulate these amounts. Worker's Compensation Insurance
Bond Requirements:	The Surety Bond amount varies depending on the type of dealer and the number of vehicles sold. See the bond schedule below: New Dealers: 1-500: $50,000 501-1,000: $75,000 1,001-2,500: $100,000 2,501 +: $300,000 Used Dealers: 1-250: $15,000 251-500: $25,000 501-1,000: $35,000 1,001-2,500: $50,000 2,501 +: $150,000

Required Attachments:	IRS form CP-575 Zoning Approval Form CS-053 Business Registration Letter obtained from Maryland SDAT Both corporate and trade names must be registered Criminal Background Check Authorization CS-011 Repair Facility Contract CS-12 ERT Contract Surety Bond of Vehicle or Trailer Dealer CS-067A with Power of Attorney attached Worker's Compensation Insurance Trader's License from Circuit Court in the jurisdiction where business is located Use and Occupancy Permit Franchise Approval Letter from each Manufacturer (new dealers only) New Vehicle Certification Form CS-22 (new dealers only)

Agency Fee:	$300 per year (licenses are issued for 3 years)
Due:	Triennially by the last day of the month of initial issuance. License Renewals must be submitted at least 15 days before the expiration of the license.
Required Attachments:	Trader's License Copy of flag releases Surety Bond rider with Power of Attorney attached (only if changes have been made to the surety bond) Explanation of MVA administrative actions, if applicable Notice of Criminal Convictions, if applicable
