Florida Certified Alarm System Contractor I License (Individual)

  • Business Credit Report and Business Financial Statement showing a net worth of at least $10,000.
Insurance Requirements:
  • Liability Insurance in amounts not less than $300,000 per occurrence (including completed operations and products), $500,000 property damage (including completed operations and products), $100,000 per person, or $800,000 CSL. 
  • Worker's Compensation Insurance. Note: Up to 3 officers can be exempt from worker's compensation. Qualifiers and employees who are not officers cannot be exempt.

Qualifying Individual Requirements:

If the applicant is the primary qualifier of a business they must have financial/supervisory authority for the business. If the applicant is the secondary qualifier of a business they must have supervisory authority over all sites where their license is used to pull the permit. An applicant cannot be a secondary qualifier unless there is a licensed electrical/alarm or electrical specialty contractor already designated as the primary qualifier for the business. Secondary qualifiers will automatically become the primary qualifiers if the primary qualifier ceases to qualify the business and a new primary qualifier is not designated within 60 days.
