Harbor Compliance today announced it ranked 417th on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, fintech, and energy tech companies in North America. Harbor Compliance grew 261% during this period.

Harbor Compliance’s President, Megan Danz, credits the company’s 261% revenue growth to the market need for a multistate compliance platform. Trends like hiring remote employees, internet sales, and consolidation through M&A activity have required more businesses and nonprofits to register and maintain government filings across state lines.

“Serving over 40,000 clients, Harbor Compliance has continued to grow in serving both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, helping them meet their regulatory requirements nationwide. Our exceptional performance in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry has been instrumental in this achievement. Additionally, through our 2022 acquisition of Labyrinth, Inc., we added thousands of nonprofit organizations to our already substantial tax-exempt client base. This strategic acquisition positioned us to help those organizations achieve comprehensive compliance by expanding their partnerships with us.

Our innovative technology simplifies the complex process of registering, tracking, and maintaining government filings across the United States, with a particular focus on multistate compliance. Our success stems from our holistic approach to compliance, addressing interconnected requirements like entity registration, record keeping, licensing, and taxes.”

“For 30 years we’ve been celebrating companies that are actively driving innovation. The software industry continues to be a beacon of growth, and the fintech industry made a strong showing on this year’s list, surpassing life sciences for the first time,” said Steve Fineberg, vice chair, U.S. technology sector leader at Deloitte. “Significantly, we also saw a breakthrough in the performance of private companies, with the highest number of private companies named to the list in our program’s history. This year’s winners have shown they have the vision and expertise to continue to perform at a high level, and that deserves to be celebrated.”

“Innovation, transformation, and disruption of the status quo are at the forefront for this year’s Technology Fast 500 list, and there’s no better way to celebrate 30 years of program history,” said Christie Simons, partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP and industry leader for technology, media and telecommunications within Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice. “This year’s winning companies have demonstrated a continuous commitment to growth and remarkable consistency in driving forward progress. We extend our congratulations to all of this year’s winners — it’s an incredible time for innovation.”

Harbor Compliance previously ranked 248 as a Technology Fast 500 award winner for 2020 and ranked 466 in 2023.
